The UIII’s Faculty of Economic and Business (FEB) will organize an “Training on Research Methods in Islamic Economics & Finance for Indonesian Researchers” on October 4 2025. The program is part of community engagement, supported by the UIII Directorate of Research and Cooperation.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Rininta Nurrachmi, Ph.D., emphasized that the aim of the training is to strengthen researchers’ competence using quantitative and qualitative method for Islamic economic and finance studies. The big gap of publication between conventional and Islamic economic encourage the team to provide training for targeted participant to enhance the number of publications in Islamic economic and finance. The target participant consist of Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, researcher, Non-Government Organization (NGO) staff, government personnel and community leaders.
The one-day training will take place at the UIII campus, involving around 27 selected participants. The sessions will be led by FEB lecturer Rininta Nurrachmi, Ph.D., Master student of Finance in Sustainable Finance Nurshifa Vathia and Muhammad Yusuf Fakhri. In the program, both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies are introduced, including the use of Autoregressive Dynamic Lagged (ARDL) for time series data analysis, the Structural Equation Model (SEM) for cross-section data, Systematic Literature Review, and Bibliometric Analysis. The training will actively engage
participants in hands-on practices, discussions, and research writing for publication.
At the end of the program, participants will receive certificates and will be encouraged to contribute written rese
arch in Islamic economic and finance to submit to a reputable journal. The upcoming program is also expected to generate academic outputs in the forms of book and journal publications.
