Dr. Herbert is currently working as Energy Economic and Policy Analyst in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Republic of Indonesia. His research experiences are strongly related to the area of economic-energy-environment issues, i.e., investigating the frameworks of reducing the Indonesia’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by (i) implementing a carbon tax on fossil fuels; and (ii) promoting clean (renewable) energy production through the feed-in tariff (subsidy) scheme within the context of Economic Modelling (Computable General Equilibrium (CGE)) analysis. Additionally, he is also working as a tutor at Universitas Terbuka (Pascasarjana Manajemen) and assistant lecture at University of Indonesia (Program Pascasarjana Ilmu Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia). He earned Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Dundee, United Kingdom. His research appears in various journals including Review of Studies on Sustainability, Rivista di Studi Sulla Sostenibilita, Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies, Scientific Contributions Oil and Gas; and Central European Journal of Economic Modelling and Econometrics.
